Project Outputs and Activities

The document “Annex II_Table of Outputs and Activities_MWAZACO” contains a detailed overview of the outputs and activities, which are not included in the documents I received. However, I can list the main outputs described in the project summary:

  • Creation of the Mine Water Atlas (MWAZACO): A publicly accessible online platform that will integrate historical data, field results, predictive models, and risk assessments.
  • Construction of a pilot mine water treatment plant and a demonstration farm: This will be a scalable model for the use of treated mine water for irrigation and agricultural purposes.
  • Establishment of a Center of Excellence (CoE) at Copperbelt University (CBU): This will serve as a national center for research, education, and training in the field of mine water management.
  • Strengthening institutional capacity: Support for the Mines Safety Department (MSD).
